John’s relationship with Bang & Olufsen began in Wisconsin, where we helped him integrate a pair of Beolab 28 speakers into his home. The result? Pure audio excellence. He loved the experience so much that he continued visiting our showroom, eventually adding a Beosound A5 after a personalized consultation about his needs for premium portable sound.

With the A5 on the go and the Beolab 28s at home, John quickly realized one thing: his Arizona residence deserved the same elevated Bang & Olufsen experience.

From Outdated to Outstanding

When John visited our Scottsdale showroom last November, we scheduled a comprehensive in-home site survey. His Arizona property had great bones but some aging technology, we knew we could help upgrade. 

He shared several concerns:

• A complicated, outdated whole-home audio system
• A bedroom TV with poor sound & sizing 
• A movie theater requiring multiple remotes and aging components
• Outdoor patio speakers that no longer delivered quality sound

Our team got to work finding solutions made for John. 

Patio & Great Room Audio Revival

We performed a seamless one-for-one swap of the exterior patio speakers, restoring vibrant, immersive sound outdoors.

Inside the great room, we faced a unique challenge: original rectangular in-ceiling speakers with custom faux-finished grilles. No modern speaker matched their dimensions. Instead of compromising aesthetics, our team engineered a retrofit, installing new circular in-ceiling speakers inside the existing housing. The result? Preserved architectural detail with dramatically improved sound performance.

The Foundation: A Secure Smart Network

Luxury home technology is only as strong as its network. During our evaluation, we identified connectivity limitations that would hinder modern streaming and smart home integration.

We upgraded John’s system to a secure, high-performance network covering the main house, patios, and both casitas. Reliable WiFi is essential for seamless streaming, multi-room audio, and total smart home control and, of course, we ensure it’s done right.

A Bedroom TV, Reimagined

John’s primary bedroom TV was confined to built-in cabinetry with poorly positioned ceiling speakers. We carefully measured the space and selected a 55” display paired with the stunning Beosound Stage, mounted on a precision pull-and-turn bracket.

The installation was so clean and elegant that John and his wife Gwynn chose to leave the shelving exposed, transforming the space into a showcase for family photos rather than hiding it behind cabinet doors.

A Fully Immersive Home Theater Upgrade

In the movie theater, precise measurements revealed the perfect opportunity for a Beosound Theatre paired with a 65” TV on a floating pull-and-turn mount. We added Beolab 8 speakers as rear surrounds, creating a fully immersive cinematic experience.

Most importantly, we simplified everything. What was once a confusing collection of remotes became one elegant control system with intuitive streaming capabilities, bringing the family into the modern era.

The Details Matter

On-site, we also discovered incorrectly wired volume controls from the original builder. By installing impedance-matching volume controls and refining the system design, we ensured optimal audio performance throughout the home.

After experiencing the simplicity and streaming power in their theater and primary bedroom, John and Gwynn asked us back to upgrade every TV in the house.
